New Blog Template

I love this new Blog template design form Dan Rubin. It's so clean, generic. Although I can't resist fiddling with colours and images and a bit off CSS. This is now even easier to do than ever before thanks to Blogger's new beta. Keep up the good work!

PC Grudge!

After years and years working exclusively on 'lovely' Apple Macs, I have at last had to give in and purchase a common or garden PC (purely for testing web sites I hasten to add).

What stuck me was the lack of user satisfaction! Things just don't render as well and everything seems a bit 'clunky' (especially Internet Explorer), but then you probably all know that.

At least I can now test sites and get the same poor user experience as most of the world!

http://www.apple.com/

Come on you know you all want one really.

New on 939 Design website

The new and improved 939 Design web site now boasts a RSS news feed page, which pulls a mix of feeds relating to web development issues and a few other things thrown in for good measure. Credit must go to Paul Boag for his advice. There is also a new site map to aid quick navigation. And last, but not least, it all validates!

IE5 for Mac - Scrapped!

As a web developer, you always try and make a website work on all browsers and platforms. I have just launched a new website for 939 Design, and for the first time have deliberately ignored IE5 for macintosh.

The reason behind this decision is that the browser is dead, ( it's not being updated by Microsoft anymore).

So appologies to anyone still using IE5 on a mac (all 3 of you).

Time to get a new browser - you can't beat Firefox.

Podcasts are futile!

Or even better, with the Eye Bud you can look like a Borg instead!

How Sci-Fi - NOT!

MY VU
What a great idea, watch your podcasts in private. Can you imagine the hundreds of people at airports wandering around with these things on? It's a shame it doesn't shoot a laserbeam out the front and destroy everything in your path!
