I've recently done some SEO work for the CSS Design Yorkshire website, you know improving titles and keywords, matching to content, that sort of thing. With Google's recent re-rank CSS Design Yorkshire is now a PageRank 5 (from 4) and is getting some amazing results:

CSSHive Feature

Thanks to the team at CSSHive for featuring the 939 Design website. CSSHive is a relatively new web gallery, but built well and managed with passion. Unlike CSS Design Yorkshire, CSSHive does not focus on web standards and compliance as far as code validation, but features many well-designed and well-built websites. Keep up the good work!

Semantic Search

Yahoo has announced it is to adopt key standards of the "semantic web", (as featured in BBC News). This is great news for all web users because a good semantic search should bring more relevance to web page results since the semantic mark-up tells the search engine a lot about the nature and content of a particular web page. Surely this is the future for all search engines, to rely less on links and more on specific content relevance leading to a much richer search experience. 939 Design are into their third year of delivering standards based and valid css websites with semantic mark-up. Everyone catches on to good web practices eventually, even Yahoo!

This stunning new website was designed and developed for XTR Game Servers. A new company which provides per-per slot game servers, dedicated game servers, voice server hosting for clans and individuals all backed by a state-of-the-art data centres across the North of England.

@media 2008

The @media 2008 web design and development conference is the latest in a series of widely renowned and consistently well received events for web professionals.

This year Vivabit are running two events one in London and the other San Francisco.

Some of the same old faces like Andy Budd, John Hicks, Paul Boag (my favorite podcaster) and some new ones too.

I couldn't make the 2007 event but loved the 2006 one so will make every effort to attend the 2008 event - although which location to choose?
